Sustainable Aviation, Energy and Power Systems Research Group

The Sustainable Aviation, Energy and Power Systems Research Group conducts advanced research on green aviation technologies, alternative fuels, electric/hybrid-electric aircraft, and energy management systems. Our primary objective is to contribute to net-zero emission targets in aviation by developing eco-friendly designs, energy recovery systems, and battery technologies aimed at minimizing the carbon footprint. Leveraging a robust infrastructure that includes the Digital Twin Laboratory and the Parachute Development Laboratory, we utilize various high-level engineering software suites for comprehensive design, modeling, and analysis processes.

Our group generates high-impact publications in critical domains such as systems thinking, hydrogen fuel economics, emission analysis of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), and controller design and simulation for VTOL platforms. Furthermore, we develop innovative projects focusing on digital twin applications, machine learning-based aerodynamic performance prediction, and cargo transportation concepts utilizing Wing-in-Ground (WIG) effect technology. Committed to transforming this academic expertise into strategic partnerships, we maintain an open and collaborative framework for both industrial and academic stakeholders.
